OK, so you and your young scientist are able to read this on your screen because of the way that light travels. Reflect on this and it'll become clear as day! Year 6 students use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out or reflect light into the eye and to show why shadows have the same shape as the objects that cast them.
